10 Best Cruelty-Free Subscription Boxes for Animal-Friendly Beauty

A recent study showed that 36% of women prefer using cruelty-free cosmetics.

And why would they not, since torturing animals is the worst thing a brand can do!

Also, I was shocked when I recently found out that other testing alternatives are equally cheap and maybe even cheaper than using animals.

If you’re tired of the same popular subscription boxes that don’t include a single cruelty-free or vegan beauty product, these ten boxes will be the best thing you’ve discovered.

1. Vegancuts 100% Vegan Beauty Subscription Box– Best Unisex Subscription Box

No products found.

Did you know that Vegancuts is the longest-standing vegan subscription company?

That only says more about their cruelty-free, vegan, luxury skincare products formulated without toxic ingredients.

When I saw that a part of the earnings goes to animal sanctuaries around the US, I had to have the box.

This month Vecancuts celebrates women-led brands.

Some of the products you can receive are Nuria’s Calm Daily Moisturizer or Matte Finish Daily Moisturizer, Ratrani Moroccan Lava clay cleanser by Nourish Mantra, and Tropical Naturals Scalp Treatment.

What I value the most about Vegancuts is their effort to be inclusive, so every single box is carefully curated to include products meant for men and women.

My sensitive skin loves that they stay away from toxic ingredients and add only paraben-free goodies.

For the price of $55, you can receive the Innersense Color Awakening Hairbath, Color Radiance Daily Conditioner, and I Create Finish Hairspray.

Their products are formulated without sulfates, parabens, fragrances, silicones. That’s another reason why I wanted to get my hands and save up on a fantastic box like this one.

Aside from focusing on luxurious formulas, the brand also wants to protect the environment and only stick to natural ingredients.

Innersense tries to make things exciting and always includes different products in their monthly subscription boxes.

However, most of the time, you’ll know what you’ll be getting beforehand, so that’s a great thing if you don’t like the element of surprise most of these boxes include.

There are three sizes to choose from A, B, and C.

Since every month the boxes are different, Safe & Chic will ask you questions regarding your skin type, whether you wear makeup, and your hair type.

This will help them create a more personalized experience and make sure that you’ll love and use the products that you get.

Every single box is always different, too. According to Safe & Chic,

Each month is different on what is offered and available to be included in the boxes. You will never get the same mystery box, even if you buy two in one month- guaranteed to be unique

I can honestly tell that their boxes are always fun, contain 3 or 4 full-sized products, and sometimes even feature special themes.

Since the element of surprise is the best thing about a subscription, you’ll never know what you’re getting until you open the box. You can expect several neutrals for everyday use and a dash of color.

Sounds great to me! Each month the vegan makeup products change, and several times a year, Medusa’s Makeup collaborates with mega-popular and indie brands to make things even more interesting.

Cruelty-Free Subscription Box FAQs

Is Birchbox vegan and cruelty-free?

Although the company is not 100% cruelty-free, they work with a lot of cruelty-free brands. They are not 100% vegan either. So far, Birchbox has curated a few cruelty-free beauty subscription boxes, but we’re still waiting for the news when they will only start working with vegan and cruelty-free brands.

Are Benefit Cosmetics cruelty-free?

Benefit Cosmetics is a company that doesn’t test on animals. Their products are made in Europe, and they use alternative ways of testing. However, Benefit also sells their products in China; they’re transparent about the fact that the Chinese government does use third-party testing on animals in their country on Benefit products because it’s required by Chinese law. This is pretty much the same thing as the Morphe cruelty-free problem we recently got in-depth with.

Is IPSY cruelty-free?

IPSY’s beauty boxes are pretty popular, but they’re not cruelty-free. IPSY collaborates with cruelty-free brands, but not all the products you’ll receive in the box will be cruelty-free. Since more than 15 million animals are used for laboratory testing each year we can all contribute to lowering that number by opting for cruelty-free alternatives.
