Nuface Mini is the smaller of the two devices. This facial toning device provides a compact current to your face, which lifts the skin and produces clean skin and enhanced skin tone within a couple of weeks.

It is effective in reducing smile lines. It is small, portable, and easy to use from the comfort of your home. It can be part of an effortless, five-minute beauty routine.

How Does Nuface Mini Work? 

The machine essentially works by increasing collagen production. Collagen is the primary skin protein responsible for the stretchability of the skin. [1]  Its production decreases with age.

Nuface Mini provides a small current which increases collagen production. The current is small enough to be completely harmless, and at the absolute worst, you can feel cramps.

The increase in collagen production causes the skin to lift, reduces wrinkles and fine lines. [2] 

I make a mask-like layer using the hydrating gel before using the microcurrent therapy, decreasing the current’s tingling sensation.

Additionally, adequately covering the face with the hydrating gel provides better conduction to the current. The device can target the neck, jowls, cheeks, and forehead.

Nuface Trinity

Nuface Trinity is the costlier alternative to Nuface Mini. It provides the same current as its smaller peer, but it has interchangeable treatment attachments.

In addition to the wrinkle attachment that the mini has, it comes with extensions that make working around the eye and lip area much more effortless.

These attachments make the trinity costlier than the mini.

It works the same way with Nuface Mini- by providing a small current that boosts collagen production. The only difference is the extra interchangeable treatment attachments.

Effective eye and lip (ELE) area attachment makes working around the eye and lip area easier. As these are some of the most challenging areas to work with, ELE attachment with Nuface Trinity is quite popular.

Nuface Mini vs. Trinity: What Should You Consider? 

Nuface trinity and mini have some similarities- they produce the same current, 335miliamperes (400 in the latest version of Trinity),  work on the same facial muscles, and come with a one-year warranty. Other than that, some differences separate the two devices apart.

Portability 

Nuface Mini has a clear edge over its sibling in portability due to its smaller size.

The Nuface Trinity is an inch longer (5â€) than the mini. This makes the mini a more portable device. The device is easy to carry around if you travel in the first 60 days of its recommended usage.  

Cost

The Nuface Mini costs $199 [4], whereas the Nuface Trinity costs $254.99 [5].

I have always wanted to eliminate the stubborn fine lines under my eyes and lip area; hence the trinity made more sense even with the extra cost. If that’s not the need for you, you can opt for the Mini.   

Treatment Area 

The Mini comes with a regular silver balls attachment which can be used on the cheekbones and the area around the eye.

It cannot be used directly under the eye, and the lip area as those areas have circular muscles, so they need something that moves in the same direction. 

The Nuface Trinity fixed this problem with the ELE (Effective lip and eye) attachment. It makes working around those areas easy.

In addition to that, the Trinity also has a Wrinkle Reducer attachment which provides a red LED treatment for reducing wrinkles. 

However, if you have already had the Nuface Mini and want to replicate the results it showed to your lip area, you can purchase the Nuface Fix device.

It is primarily for your lip area and is effective against reducing wrinkles.

It is important to note that the Nuface Fix device provides a much lower current of just 200 microamperes compared to 335 microamperes of Trinity or Mini.

Color  

If you like to have a little personality in the things you buy, you won’t be able to do that with the Mini as it comes in only white and platinum.

The Trinity, on the other hand, in addition to the white and platinum, is available in turquoise, baby pink, and coral.
