Even though there are many different hair masks combinations out there, egg whites are still one of the best ingredients to add to your hair routine.

The egg protein promotes healthy hair growth, regenerates the hair follicles and heavily damaged ends, and also removes the excess oils, which helps if you’re dealing with dandruff.

DIY Egg Whites Hair Masks

When it comes to egg whites hair mask ideas, DIY is really the only way to go.

It’s kind of hard to bottle the benefits of actual raw eggs!

Don’t worry, though- these recipes couldn’t be easier!

Let’s check them out! I’ll include alternative video tutorials for each one as well.

1. Egg White and Coconut Oil Hair Mask

Everyone loves coconut oil. It deep moisturizes our hair, makes it soft, and keeps it from detangling.

Combined with egg whites, you will get an awesome combo that will regenerate your hair, and maintain it healthy.

For this mask, you will only need 2 egg whites and two tablespoons of coconut oil.

If you have very long hair, though, you may need to make more.

Mix them together, and apply it to your hair. In about 10-20 minutes, your hair will start to dry because of the egg whites.

That’s the time when you need to wash it off and continue your routine.

2. Egg Whites and Avocado Hair Mask

This is one of my personal favorites. Since I’m changing my hair color almost every month, I need something to help my hair a little bit.

Happily, I discovered this mask, and it helped me deal with dry scalp and damaged ends.

To make this mask, you only need two egg whites and half an avocado.

Again, if you have long hair, you may want to adjust the quantities.

Mix them together and apply it to your hair. When your hair is starting to dry, rinse it off.

3. Egg Whites and Olive Oil Hair Mask

Two of my favorite ingredients at the same time!

If you’re bleaching your hair a lot, chances are that your hair is dry, and your scalp irritated.

However, this hair mask is a complete lifesaver. It deep moisturizes your hair and scalp, and also repairs the split ends.

To prepare this mask, you need to mix two egg whites, along with 4 tablespoons of olive oil.

This mask is liquid, so after you apply it, you should put a shower cap on, so it doesn’t drip everywhere.

Leave in on your hair until it dries or 20 minutes have passed, and then just follow your normal hair routine.

4. Egg Whites and Honey

This hair mask is amazing for badly damaged hair. In just a few sessions, your hair will start looking shiny, healthy, and very natural.

The egg whites will regenerate your hair, while the honey will leave a wonderful shine on it.

To make this mask, you need to mix one egg white, 2 tablespoons of honey, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

When it’s done, just apply it to your hair and wait for about 20 minutes.

Because it’s got both olive oil and honey, the mask may not dry, but this also depends on how damaged your hair is.

5. Egg Whites & Lemon Anti-Dandruff Mask

This one is superb at helping get rid of dandruff! It’s super moisturizing!

To make this mask, you need to mix one egg white and 3 tablespoons of lemon juice (it’s best if it comes from an actual lemon, but the bottled stuff will work in a pinch).

Just combine them, apply to your scalp, wait 20 minutes, then rinse!

One little tip, though- if you have very dark hair, don’t go into the sun after using this one unless you’re sure you’ve rinsed the lemon completely out.

Lemon is a natural hair lightener when combined with sunlight.

I’ve been using egg whites hair masks since I started dying my hair, about 10 years ago, and I don’t think I’ll ever find something to match it.

All these hair masks are ideal if you’re living in a cold climate or simply change your hair color all the time.
