I’m back from a weeklong unplanned break! As an avid blog reader, I always felt like bloggers shouldn’t have to explain their absence. My wasn’t planned or even wanted, which is why I feel the need to say I’m back!
I always struggle with how much to share on my blog because, even though it is something that is very much about me, I still try to maintain some level of privateness. So this is as much as I’m willing to share: I wasn’t feeling all that great this past week and was in and out of the doctor’s office. (No, I’m not pregnant before you even think that’s what I’m not saying!) Last Monday at the height of it all, I turned to my husband and said, “I guess there’s not going to be a Magazine Monday this week.” I think that’s how I know I truly love my hobby–that even when I’m sick I wonder what will happen to the blog.
So this is just a friendly hello to say I’m planning good things for the coming weeks. With Boston Fashion Week right around the corner, I’m excited to be covering more local events and sharing them with you. And of course, we’ll also be talking about beauty, body image and feminism along with a lot other things.

great pic and i agree you don’t need to explain your absence but since the blog is personal (while you can still remain private) it’s a balancing act on what to share or not share on your blog. I hope you are in good health.
