Getting My Greek Sandals On

These photos may look familiar. Several weeks ago, my fiance and had engagement photos taken by my dad. For the wardrobe change, I slipped on my cute little Bamboo Gold Braided Sandals and gave them a whirl. For those of you who are new to my blog, throughout the past two months readers have been voting on which shoes I will wear during my wedding. You can read more about it here.

Greeking Out

In my heart of hearts, I was hoping that the Bamboo sandals would be the dark horse in this race. Despite being absolutely lovely in every other part of the design they had but one flaw. The ankle band was too wide, making it hard to walk without extreme concentration and a lot of slipping.

I’m going to check in with a shoemaker and see if I can have the band adjusted because these are really adorable shoes, and I think with the right band width they could be completely wearable. Everything else about them is absolutely darling. Not only are they braided, but they also have tiny gold chaining that follows the braid.

These sandals are now sold out on Lulu*s, but there are some similar styles available at the moment.

    You can definitely get the band adjusted. If you have a strong sewing machine and a good seam ripper you might even be able to do it yourself.

    I’m still with those beautiful glass slippers dear! (The Grecian sandal adjustment) seems like an easy fix for a shoemaker. You look so fab!!

    Lulu’s is really cute – I had not seen it before! I’m a big fan of multiple rings right now, so I love the pieces of eight ring set!
