How to Dress Like Lauren Conrad

Lauren Conrad is often on the red carpet or doing interviews, but it’s her casual “out and about” style I find the most fashionable due to its simplicity.  Originally, I imagined this post would be about the style of all the women of The Hills, but then I realized it’s Lauren Conrad who I admire the most. It’s no surprise–girlfriend has a book out, Style Here’s a few of Lauren’s fashionable everyday looks you can easily replicate.

The key to achieving this look is a good hoodie and a nice pair of denim shorts in a dark wash. If you’re not into the short short, you can easily do a longer pair of cut offs and roll the ends. You’ll notice LC is a bit “matchy matchy”–see how her belt matches the color of her purse? That’s what I mean.

Birkenstock Gizeh Birko-Flor ($89.95) American Apparel Flex Fleece Zip Hoodie ($48)Forever 21 Braided Denim Shorts ($14.80)  Cambridge Satchel Company Classic ($200) 7 Hills Elastic Two Tone Belt ($36)

Lauren’s next look will show you how you can take two elements of the previous look and reuse them in a new way. Notice how the bag and the flip flops are exactly the same? Remember that when you see a celebrity and admire their look, there’s no need to copy it exactly. Use what you already have to get the same effect. If you don’t, you’ll certainly be out of money faster than you can swipe your debit card.

This is a great gym to errands look. Just switch out your sneakers and you’re ready to go! Having the right deep v-neck t-shirt will really make this look. Most v-neck shirts are high cut so be sure to look for one that extends lower than your typical v-neck. That’s just two Lauren Conrad looks I really like. Simple, casual and easy to achieve whether you are running to the store or hitting the gym.
